Dereck, Our African PromoterDereck, our African Promoter, has visited schools, colleges and fairs to promote Planet Aid UK's work in Africa and India.
During 2009 Planet Aid UK had the pleasure of having Asenek Dereck Ineube employed as our promoter. He visited schools, colleges and festivals to spread the knowledge about the programmes Planet Aid UK supports in Africa and India.
So far Dereck has a very good presentation for the smaller children in primary schools, for older children and also one on a university/college level.
Dereck, who was born and raised in Cameroon, has a thorough knowledge about life in Africa and about the programmes that we support in Southern Africa as a member of Humana People to People.
Dereck also links the recycling of clothes to the development aid work Planet Aid UK supports.

At the Chesterfield Canal Festival Dereck presented a model of a rope pump that is designed for farmers in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi. The pump is built from local materials and it supplies the villages with clean water.
Hundreds of visitors tried the pump outside our stall. It was a very successful day in Kiveton Park. Thank you to the people that arranged the Chesterfield Canal Festival. |
