The first International Humana People to People Day is taking place on Thursday 23rd September 2010 in 17 countries throughout Europe.

In November six volunteers, trained by Planet Aid UK, returned to the UK after six months working in Africa.

Dereck, our African Promoter, has visited schools, colleges and fairs to promote Planet Aid UK's work in Africa and India.

Planet Aid UK installs clothes banks at supermarkets, and 'smaller' sites, close to post offices, pubs, schools and shopping parades which are easily accessible to the public.

In 2009 KIWI’s Shoe Aid for Africa appeal collected shoes from 500 schools across Britain.The shoes were distributed by Planet Aid UK's sister organisations in Africa.

For 2010 all Planet Aid UK textile banks have been given a ‘new look’. As well as carrying out refurbishments to our containers as required, we have produced an eye-catching display poster which carries the message “If You Do, Then They Can”.

Most people know the KIWI shoe polish; one of Sara Lee’s Products. In partnership with Planet Aid UK and Humana People to People KIWI donated 16000 pair of shoe to people in Mozambique.A truely People to People action.

Planet Aid UK has started manufacturing a small community clothing bank. The bank will have a new, more secure locking system.
